1 - CaptianSparkelz bought an incredible $4.5 million mansion!
23-year-old YouTuber Jordan Maron has purchased a huge hilltop mansion for $4.575 million under a private trust, according to Variety.
Maron is known in the YouTube world as "CaptainSparklez," and his channel has racked up more than 8.8 million subscribers and 1.9 billion views.
The channel primarily features videos of him playing "Minecraft," and he's signed by Polaris, a division of Maker Studios.
All of that gaming has clearly paid off — his brand-new home has amazing views and more than 4,100 square feet of space.
2 - Cyber-thieves attack famous Fifa players.
Six of the most successful Fifa video gamers to feature on YouTube have been targeted by cyber-thieves.
The hackers stole millions of Fifa coins, the in-game currency, and deleted valuable players.
They are thought to have convinced manufacturer EA Sports to transfer their victims' Origin accounts to email addresses the hackers controlled.
Many other well-known players who do not make videos are also believed to have been hit.
3 - Videos Are Hitting One Million Views Faster Than Ever.
Recently, Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s massive hit single “See You Again” hit a major milestone on YouTube as it joined the exclusive group of videos that have been watched at least one billion times. “Again” is just the tenth video to do so, and unsurprisingly, all of them are music videos, which as a category are responsible for the lion’s share of watches on the video-hosting platform. Having only been out for less than a year, it may seem surprising that the song has already hit one billion views, but it’s actually following a trend that shows that views on YouTube of big hits are on the upswing.
4 - New YouTube IOS App Includes Improved On-The-Go Features
The new app offers a redesigned interface and new editing tools, as well as some new tools for browsing content. There are three main tabs - Home, Subscriptions and Account, which are just like desktop browser version but now easier to find. The big difference here is that the Account tab offers access to the user's own videos, video playlists, notifications, and viewing history. What's exciting is the new editing tools, which allow the user to trim videos, add filters and add music. New filters include sepia, 8mm, and a "sketch" option that makes the video look like a pencil sketch.
5 - Minecraft: Story-Mode Launch Will Be Streamed On YouTube
Minecraft: Story Mode will be released on October 13, but a day before its release, Telltale Games will be holding a launch event at the 'ArcLight Cinerama Dome' where those in attendance can attempt to influence the decisions made on the screen as the first episode is played out. If you’re unable to attend, Telltale Games has announced it will be livestreaming what it calls the “World’s Largest ‘Let’s Play’” exclusively on YouTube Gaming.
The livestream will kick off at 7pm PT / 10pm ET on TeamMojang’s official YouTube Gaming channel. The livestream will serve as a way for Telltale Games to bring the Minecraft community, Telltale fans, YouTubers and streamers together along with the cast and crew of the game. Those in attendance will be cheering and directing the decisions made during the Let’s Play.
